The Wake-On-LAN feature provides the capability to remotely power-on client systems supporting Wake-On-LAN by simply sending a Wake-On-LAN packet and then upload or download files to or from the client. With this feature relevant persons can flexibly perform client maintenance during off-hours so that Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) will be dramatically lowered. Wake-On-LAN is a remote management tool with advantages that can reduce system management workload, provide flexibility to the system administrator's job, and then of course save you time-consuming efforts and costs. Using Wake-On-LAN on your system requires a LAN adapter that can activate the Wake-On-LAN function on supported mainboards using a software that can send and receive wake-up packets. |
