A protocol from Microsoft that is used to create a virtual private network (VPN) over the Internet. It uses Microsoft's Point-to-Point Encryption (MPPE), which is based on RSA's RC4. Because it lacks dynamic keying to ensure secure key exchange, it should not be used to secure WLANs. |
