| FileServers Store Retrieve Share Documents |
|
A fileserver is a centralized server on a network to store, retrieve, and share your documents, pictures, programs, and anything else necessary. A fileserver makes it much easier to backup your data in the case of a calamity (including the delete key). You can also increase the technologies in the fileserver for better redundancy. A good example is multiple hard drives that mirror the data on each drive. A file server also allows for centralized profile storage. When users migrate to a different machine, they need settings and applications to migrate with them. |
