     This category focuses on computer modems, digital communications, devices and protocols. Each item is explained in general, providing information suitable for everyone from beginners to advanced users. Modems communicate with each other using a MODULATION method, which translates between digital computer data and analog telephone signals. Two modems must support the SAME modulation method or they can't communicate at all.
